In 2006, under the auspices of BGCI, six national meetings were convened for stakeholders working in plant-based education, communication and public awareness to focus on the implementation of Target 14. The meetings were held in:
Over 375 representatives from all levels of the formal and informal education sectors participated in the consultation. The combined findings of all these consultations and meetings were used to produce the ‘International Review of Target 14 of the GSPC’, which was presented at a meeting of the Global Partnership for Plant Conservation and the U.N. Convention on Biological Diversity in Dublin, November, 2006. |
