GPPC > The GSPC: 5 Themes > (B) Conserving Plant Diversity
(B) Conserving Plant DiversityTargets in this theme are: (iv) At least 10 per cent of each of the world’s ecological regions effectively conserved; (v) Protection of 50 per cent of the most important areas for plant diversity assured; (vii) 60 per cent of the world’s threatened species conserved in situ; Saving PlantsWe are reliant on plants, yet 60,000-100,000 plant species are threatened worldwide, by a variety of factors.
