BGCI's U.S. Strategy

BGCI's U.S. Strategy is the result of consultation with individuals from over 30 botanic gardens and conservation organizations in the U.S. in 2007. Thanks to all who participated in this process; we are working hard to implement the results.

Highlights from this strategy include four areas of work that will utilize BGCI's global expertise and network to help grow and connect already-strong plant conservation efforts in the U.S. with those abroad. They include:

This work contributes to the North American Botanic Garden Strategy for Plant Conservation, and BGCI is working with its partners to monitor and report on progress toward meeting the targets laid out in this strategy by 2010.
